About the album
Salomão Soares’ debut album as a leader, Alegria de Matuto brings together the quartet with Felipe Brisola (bass), Rodrigo “Digão” Braz (drums) and Diego Garbin (trumpet and flugelhorn).
Three guests: Hermeto Pascoal on melodica on “Coentro no Feijão”, Tatiana Parra on vocals on “Monte Branco” and “Sopro de Esperança”, and Carol Panesi on violin on the title track.
Recorded on March 29 and 30, 2018, at Rivière Studios, in Ribeirão Preto, and released on the Blaxtream label.
