SALOMÃO SOARES & VANESSA MORENO
Press release

Salomão Soares and Vanessa Moreno return to the studio with Outros Ventos (2025), reaffirming the strength and sensitivity of a partnership that, over the years, has brought new life to contemporary Brazilian music. The album offers heartfelt new readings of classics from the Brazilian songbook, shaped by the duo's musical personality: Salomão's understated virtuosity at the piano and Vanessa's intense, precise singing.

Recorded at Gargolândia, a studio set in the countryside of São Paulo State, the album captures the musical intimacy between voice and piano, with moments of free improvisation and respect for the roots of each song. Highlights include Vento de Maio, by Telo and Márcio Borges, the dramatic weight of Um Dia, Um Adeus, and a guest appearance by Chico César on Beradêro. Sound direction and mixing by Thiago Monteiro; cover photo by José de Holanda.

It is the duo's third album, after Chão de Flutuar (2019) and Yatra-Tá (2021), and was named by Billboard Brasil one of the best Brazilian albums of 2025. On tour, the duo has performed in Japan (Billboard Live Yokohama) and Europe, played Montreux Jazz Festival Rio, and made its South African debut at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival in 2026.
