SALOMÃO SOARES TRIO Press release Piano, double bass and drums. For Salomão Soares, the most classic format in jazz is the one that opens the most doors: "It's when I most enjoy improvising. On this project, all original music, I tried to bring as few fixed arrangements as possible, so the musicians could create freely and bring their own identity to the music." The trio plays the music of Espirais (2024), an album of ten new compositions recorded at Estúdio Gargolândia with Paulinho Vicente (drums) and Felipe Brisola (double bass). Many of the pieces come from a tribute or a place: Luzes do Carmo is dedicated to Egberto Gismonti; Espirais came from Van Gogh's The Starry Night; Dalí, from the Spanish painter's canvases; Teleférico was born on a trip to La Paz. The album was featured by Bandcamp as New & Notable (May 2025) and includes guest appearances by Seamus Blake and Stephanie Borgani. On stage, the structure is the frame, and what happens inside it is created in real time, with the three musicians listening to each other. With this line-up, Salomão has played Instrumental Sesc Brasil and Sesc Jazz. "There is always an incredible beauty in discovering musicians and albums that add something to our world. This is one of them." — Mário Laginha, on Espirais LINE-UP Salomão Soares — piano Felipe Brisola — double bass Paulinho Vicente — drums LINKS Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eG8Gy11OvYU Album: https://salomaosoares.com.br/en/album-espirais CONTACT producao@salomaosoares.com.br
